Established in 1973, Troodos Electric Cables Ltd (TEC) is the largest privately owned distributor of all types of cables as well as other electrical installation material in Cyprus, with a focus on specialized projects. Our sphere of activity is threefold:
- Project business offering electrical contractors a comprehensive range of installation materials
- Retail business catering for the day to day needs of electrical traders and individuals
- Tenders issued by government, semi-government and private organizations
Offering well known high quality products from principals who are leaders in their field, TEC attributes its success to understanding the unique needs of its customers. As a company, we are proud to have served the Cypriot market for over 40 years with a vast knowledge of all major consultants and contractors in the field, doing so with a management style and size that allows flexibility to adjust to market changes and cater for customer demands.

We offer a product diversity of over 6,000 items in co-operation with over 15 leading manufacturers of electric cables and other electrical installation materials. Our strategic suppliers provide us with access to industry competitive pricing, reliable quality as well as technical support services, which enables TEC to offer our customers the highest quality OF products and services.
How it all evolved
From its establishment in 1973 up to 1986, Troodos Electric Cables Ltd had been dealing exclusively with the supply of cables.
In 1986, under a new management, a diversification process started to expand the product base. As a result, the company has acquired exclusivities in the local market of nearly 15 reputable manufacturers associated with electrical installations including earthling and lightning protection systems, cable management and underfloor systems, industrial plugs and sockets, protection and power distribution devices, explosion proof industrial control products and many other relevant installation material.
Aiming at strengthening its retail business, majority acquisitions were made in 2000 in A. Stekas (Electrical) Ltd in Deryneia and in Troodos Electroworld Ltd in Larnaca, which are currently operating as subsidiaries to the growing Troodos family.
After almost 45 years, TEC is still dedicated and focused on the same unwavering pursuit of customer service excellence, with products of the highest quality. As we have evolved into the largest provider of electrical installation supplies in Cyprus, we are proud to note that our focus has not changed since 1973 i.e. on providing continuous reliability, availability and the best service to every single customer.
